The Sandhills team had a successful week-end at Camden CIC with Wendela Jamie, owned by Henry Hicks, placing 3rd in the CIC***. Sandhills Brillaire, owned by Keith and Julie Osborne, placed 2nd in the Pre-Novice also. Tarranlea Eloise had her 1st start back from a spell.

Sydney International 3 Day Event had an impressive gathering of Sandhills horses. Sandhills Brillaire by Staccato, owned by Keith and Julie Osborne finished 9th in the PreNovice. Sandhills Maxfly, owned by Adam Petherbridge, finished 8th in the 1 star. Sandhills Darcy, owned by Louise Hill, finished 9th in the 3 star and congratulations to Hamish Cargill with Sandhills Tiger who finished 4th in the 3 star.

Staccato is having a break from competition at the moment because Prue is expecting a baby in November! Probably not the best timing with Adelaide 3 day event being run then but not always the easiest thing to plan… Prue is still riding Staccato at home and enjoying trying out some piaffe, passage and one time changes.

We welcome Jessamy Walsh from WA to the team here at Sandhills. Jess competes 1 star on her horse ‘Didge’ and has already had some good results competing in the East. Jess is a fantastic worker and a real pleasure to have around. Oliver is particularly fond of her and her gorgeous Jack Russell, Jimminy.

Congratulations to Erin O’Neill who took her horse “Short Black” to the UK at the beginning of the year and is having great success with him. Erin bought Short Black from us a number of years ago as a very green horse and is now competing him Advanced. Erin hopes to compete in CCI*** in October. We wish her all the best.
